The Secret of Alpine Valley Review

The Secret of Alpine Valley, Paul Crehan Overview

Hopefully you read the interview we conducted with the author Paul Crehan which really shows the eccentric interesting author/Hollywood Television screenwriter inside personality. Anyhow, The Secret of Alpine Valley is a secret no longer thanks to the author. The book reads like a documentary you would find on A&E: exciting, page flipping, and informative at the same time. Looks like a background in scripting/playwright really does help.

Review

The book is an exciting mash up of a love story, adventure, and coming of age story brought to you with some very interesting usage of Point of View. Most book aficionados usually complain when the mixture of first person and third person occurs which does happen in Secret. Personally, I happen to agree with the author that it adds a certain depth and perspective those two alone would not have. The book is heavy on character development which adds a nice edge to the book.

Rating

4/5 Excellent book with a great storyline. Even though I like the Point of View mixture in some cases it is hard to judge who is saying what. Still all of these annoyances are minor quibbles.
